Today as I was carrying Luke into the house, I said, “You are cute!” Luke responded by saying, “No, I baby.” I promptly laughed and said, “You are a cute baby.”

Dreams
As soon as I walked into Drew’s bedroom this morning, he started to tell me an elaborate story of a bear in our yard and a giant. He told me lots of details. As he was finishing his story, he asked, “Mommy, can I see if the bear is still there?” I told him that it was a dream he had and not real life. Poor guy was very convinced that it was real and had really happened. I had to tell him several times that it was a dream before he would believe me.
D-son At The Dentist’s
Today was D’s first time to get his teeth cleaned at the dentist’s. He did very well, except for one time when he bit the dental hygienist. When we asked him why he bit her, he said it was because of the funny round toothbrush.
Little Singer
Luke has become our little singer. I sing various Bible songs to him before putting him to bed. As a result, he is starting to memorize different of the songs and sings along with me. It is precious to hear a not-quite-two-year-old sing about Jesus!
Heavenly Dreams
The last few nights before tucking Will into bed, we have been talking about Heaven. Each night, I try to share something new and different with him about Heaven. Will then thinks about Heaven as he falls asleep. This has been helping him to have a more pleasant sleep and falling to sleep routine. It is sweet to see his excitement about Heaven!
Stitches
Last Wednesday, Drew needed stitches after running into a gym. door at church. Thankfully, a doctor was present and was able to glue the gash closed. Today, we inserted a needle into the hardened glue to drain the excess fluids so it would heal more quickly. The cut is mending nicely. Drew was our brave little boy during the whole situation and never cried during the gluing process or needle.
Joy To Our Hearts
Two things recently happened that brought joy to our hearts:
Luke surprised us by singing most of “Jesus Loves Me” by himself.
Will got all excited when we were talking about Heaven and said that he looked forward to Heaven because Jesus was going to hold him in His arms. Will’s joy was palatable! How exciting it was for us to discuss meeting “giants of the faith” such as David, Daniel, Joseph, Abraham, Moses, Joshua, Gideon, Paul, and many others!
It is moments like these that cause us to rejoice that we have been given the special opportunity to teach our precious children about the Lord!
Love to Grow
Tonight as I was chatting with Drew, he asked, “Why are you cuddling with me?” I said, “Because I love you.” He said, “Sometimes, I need a lot of love to grow. ” I asked, “Do you need more love?” He said, “Yes, I need lots of love so I can grow big like a giant and then jump and make noise and open doors.”
Depends
This evening, my husband was talking with Son-L about going on the potty. Son-L indicated that he didn’t want to go on the potty. My husband said the following in response: “I can see it now. We’ll be advertising: ‘Wanted! Wife for man who comes with life-time supply of Depends. The offer depends on how good you think it is.”
More Fun
Tonight as I was putting Drew to bed, I cuddled with him for awhile and listened to him talk. What a pleasant way to relax in the evening! One of the cute things that Drew said was, “Usually, I like to stay up in the dark.”
Yesterday, I kept checking on Luke as he played in the sun room. At one point, he had a baseball cap on his head backwards and a hat on a toy tiger. Luke pointed to his tiger, laughed, and said, “Hat.”
